It was an evening of live music, new products, fun giveaways and great conversation. This year's SPARK Seattle was a great success and we owe it all to you! Every year we co-host this event for the design community - as a way of thanking you for your business, your support and the lasting relationships we continue to grow.
This year SPARK took place at Next 50, a centrally located event space at the Seattle Center. Janus et Cie filled the courtyard with several of their stunning and comfortable outdoor collections including Forest and See! while Cambria's large granite slabs served as gorgeous displays and great backdrops for photo-ops. And speaking of photo-ops, new to this event, Hello There You provided a Photo Booth for those wanting to capture the fun.
Local music and libations flowed throughout the evening as attendees gathered, mingled and spotted new products like Garrett's Denizen collection, which our Seattle-based Sales and Design Account Manager, Loie Docter found complementary to her taste.
Inside, Kimball workspace pieces paired well with Meyer Wells tables atop United Tile and JJ Flooring Group carpet tiles. Lining the walls and balcony railing were some of Designtex's fabrics, bringing a pop of color and texture to the space. We were able to create several vignettes with all our pieces this year which reinforced our theme of inspiration through collaboration. The layout was both fun to plan and well-received by guests.
As with every SPARK event, we worked with a local charity to raise awareness and funds. This year we worked with Molly Moon's Ice Cream, who also provided our guests with a sweet treat, to support her Anna Banana Milk Fund. The fund began in 2011 in response to the lack milk products at food banks and has since raised more than $135,000 and provided organic milk from Smith Brothers Farms.
It's hard to believe we have been participating in SPARK Seattle for five years now, and while the planning and commitment is intense at times, we love being a part of this great event celebrating design. We wouldn't have been able to put it all together without Legacy Group who provided furniture from some of their lines and gave us a comfortable and connected place to meet and plan. All in all, it was a lovely night with a clear view of not only the evening sky but also the exciting things happening in the Seattle design community.
